Connecting and Interpreting : Story #3 from the ATASDA Collaborative Golden Cape Background : The Golden Cape is a collaborative project for ATASDA members and it celebrates the 50th Anniversary of ATASDA in 2024. 50 present day members have received an image of one of 50 yesteryear members artworks, to use as a muse, to create new artwork based on the past. Inspiration can come from textures, colours, style, design, subject, culture or history of the original artwork. The new artworks have become panels stitched together to create a Golden Cape - an anniversary art wearable . The Golden Cape will be displayed at various venues around Australia from May 2024. What a darling photo of you both, Wilma. And what a lovely tribute to your sister on her special day. Being an only child, I often think I missed a great deal not having a sibling, especially a sister to share with.
ReplyDeleteThink of you often and still amaze at your boundless energy and artistic talent.
All the best to you, Jim and the family.
Carolyn
Thank you, Carolyn.Unfortunately, my sister lives in north Queensland about 1600km away, so I only see her a couple of times a year. Next week, Jim and I are taking our children, their partners and our grandchildren to celebrate her birthday and my mother's 90th birthday! What an adventure that will be - I am already feeling a little sorry for the flight attendants! Hope you are well and you are enjoying life. Regards, Wilma
